A formal services relationship is created only through a mutually executed agreement, statement of work, order form, proposal, or other written contract accepted by Lockard Security.

We may restrict or block access to the website where we reasonably believe activity is malicious, abusive, unlawful, or presents a cybersecurity risk.
4. Cybersecurity Testing and Research
Lockard Security is a cybersecurity company, but publication of this website does not constitute authorization to perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, exploitation, social engineering, credential testing, denial-of-service testing, or any other offensive security activity against Lockard Security systems.
Security testing is permitted only where Lockard Security has provided explicit written authorization defining the scope and rules of engagement.
Unauthorized security testing may be treated as hostile activity and may result in blocking, investigation, reporting to service providers or law enforcement, or other appropriate action.
If you believe you have identified a legitimate security vulnerability affecting Lockard Security, contact us at:
Please do not exploit a vulnerability beyond what is reasonably necessary to confirm its existence, and do not access, modify, retain, or disclose customer or third-party data.
5. Information on This Website
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information, but cybersecurity technologies, threats, standards, vulnerabilities, laws, regulations, and industry practices change rapidly.
Content on this website may become outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate over time.
Lockard Security does not guarantee that all website information is complete, current, or error-free.
We may modify, remove, or update content at any time without notice.
6. No Professional Advice
Content published on this website is provided for general informational purposes only.
Nothing on this website should be considered:
- Legal advice
- Regulatory or compliance advice
- Accounting or tax advice
- Insurance advice
- A formal cybersecurity assessment
- A penetration test
- An incident response conclusion
- A risk acceptance recommendation
- A guarantee of security
- A substitute for professional services tailored to a specific environment
Cybersecurity decisions should be based on the facts and circumstances of the specific organization, environment, threat model, regulatory obligations, and business requirements.
Contacting Lockard Security through the website does not create a professional services relationship.
7. Service Descriptions
Descriptions of services on this website are general in nature and may not include all limitations, exclusions, dependencies, technical requirements, or contractual terms.
Actual services provided to customers are governed by applicable written agreements, including statements of work, master services agreements, order forms, proposals, service schedules, and other contractual documents.
If there is a conflict between these website Terms and a signed customer agreement, the signed customer agreement controls with respect to the contracted services.
8. Quotes, Proposals, and Pricing
Any pricing, packages, estimates, or service descriptions published on the website are informational unless expressly stated otherwise.
Quotes, proposals, and estimates may be subject to:
- Technical validation
- Scope confirmation
- Customer environment review
- Licensing requirements
- Third-party costs
- Taxes
- Travel or onsite requirements
- Minimum commitments
- Contract terms
- Availability
- Changes in vendor pricing
A quote or proposal does not become binding until accepted according to its terms and, where required, accompanied by a signed agreement.
9. Third-Party Products and Services
Lockard Security may reference, recommend, resell, integrate, configure, support, or use products and services provided by third parties.
Third-party products may include cybersecurity platforms, cloud providers, telecommunications providers, software vendors, hardware vendors, hosting providers, and other service providers.
Those products and services are governed by the applicable third party’s terms, licenses, service levels, privacy policies, and warranties.
Lockard Security is not responsible for the acts, omissions, outages, defects, security failures, policy changes, licensing changes, or service interruptions of independent third-party providers, except to the extent expressly stated in a written agreement with Lockard Security.
References to third-party companies or products do not necessarily imply endorsement or partnership.
10. Customer Responsibilities
Where Lockard Security provides contracted services, customers are responsible for fulfilling obligations stated in the applicable service agreement.
Depending on the services, customer responsibilities may include:
- Providing accurate information
- Maintaining authorized administrative contacts
- Providing timely system and account access
- Maintaining appropriate licensing
- Maintaining backups
- Implementing recommended remediation
- Managing internal policies and approvals
- Maintaining lawful authority over systems submitted for testing or monitoring
- Maintaining appropriate cyber insurance
- Preserving evidence during security incidents
- Responding to security alerts and requests
- Maintaining accurate asset inventories
- Keeping contact and escalation information current
Failure to satisfy customer dependencies may affect our ability to provide services or meet expected timelines.
11. Authorization for Security Services
Customers engaging Lockard Security for penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, incident response, forensic investigation, security testing, monitoring, or other security services represent and warrant that they have legal authority to authorize Lockard Security to access, inspect, test, monitor, or otherwise interact with the systems, networks, applications, data, accounts, cloud environments, or other assets included within the agreed scope.
Customers are responsible for obtaining any third-party approvals necessary for testing or monitoring.
Lockard Security may refuse or suspend activities where authorization is unclear or where we reasonably believe requested activity may be unlawful or outside the agreed scope.
12. Incident Response and Security Investigations
Cybersecurity investigations often involve incomplete, evolving, or conflicting evidence.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a written report or agreement:
- Preliminary findings are subject to revision
- The absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence that an event did not occur
- Lockard Security cannot guarantee identification of every compromised system, attacker action, vulnerability, persistence mechanism, or data access event
- Findings may depend on the availability and integrity of logs, telemetry, backups, forensic artifacts, and customer records
- Attackers may intentionally delete, alter, encrypt, or conceal evidence
Lockard Security will make reasonable professional efforts consistent with the agreed scope but cannot guarantee a particular investigative outcome.
13. Security Monitoring and Managed Services
Security monitoring and managed security services reduce risk but do not eliminate it.
No cybersecurity product, service, monitoring platform, endpoint agent, firewall, SIEM, SOC, vulnerability scanner, cloud security platform, or other control can guarantee prevention or detection of every threat.
Customers remain responsible for overall business risk decisions, internal governance, disaster recovery, business continuity, backups, legal compliance, and remediation decisions unless expressly assigned to Lockard Security in writing.
14. Emergency and Critical Security Communications
Customers receiving managed security or incident response services may receive communications concerning urgent or critical security events by telephone, email, SMS, ticketing platform, collaboration platform, or other agreed communication methods.
Customers are responsible for ensuring emergency contact information remains accurate and monitored.
