SMS/Text Message Communications

Lockard Security offers SMS/text message communications to clients and their authorized contacts who have opted in to receive them. The categories of information collected in connection with our SMS program include mobile phone numbers, consent records, message delivery status, and opt-in/opt-out history.

How We Use SMS Information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are used solely to deliver messages related to the managed security services we provide, including Security Operations Center (SOC) alerts, incident notifications, support ticket updates, scheduled maintenance notices, multi-factor authentication codes, appointment reminders, and responses to client-initiated inquiries.

No Sharing With Third Parties for Marketing. Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent information collected for the purpose of SMS communications will not be shared, sold, rented, or otherwise disclosed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This information is shared only with subprocessors strictly necessary to deliver the messages (for example, our telecommunications provider, RingCentral) and only for the purpose of transmitting the messages you have consented to receive.

Message Frequency and Rates. Message frequency varies based on your service activity and the nature of security events affecting your environment. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. Lockard Security is not responsible for carrier charges.

Opt-Out. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message received from Lockard Security. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us at [email protected] or (833) 562-5273.

Data Retention. Consent records and opt-out requests are retained for the duration of the business relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

SMS Terms and Conditions

By providing your mobile phone number to Lockard Security and opting in to our SMS program, you agree to the following terms:

1. Program Description. Lockard Security’s SMS program delivers service-related messages to clients and their authorized contacts, including SOC alerts, security incident notifications, support ticket updates, scheduled maintenance notices, multi-factor authentication codes, appointment confirmations, and replies to inquiries you initiate.

2. Consent. By enrolling, you confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided, that you are at least 18 years of age, and that you consent to receive text messages from Lockard Security at that number. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Lockard Security.

3. Message Frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your service activity, the occurrence of security events in your environment, and the communications initiated by you or your authorized administrators.

4. Cost. Message and data rates may apply to each message sent or received, according to the terms of your agreement with your mobile carrier. Lockard Security does not charge for the messages themselves but is not responsible for carrier charges.

5. Opt-Out. You may cancel SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send a one-time confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from Lockard Security unless you opt back in. If you opt out, you may still receive non-SMS communications (such as email or phone) related to your services.

6. Help. For assistance, reply HELP to any message, email [email protected], or call (833) 562-5273.

7. Supported Carriers. The SMS program is available across major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Privacy. Information collected in connection with the SMS program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

9. Changes to Terms. Lockard Security reserves the right to modify or terminate the SMS program or these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the program or posted on our website.
